26 May '04 - + 14 - 17 Memorial Service
My father-in-law's memorial service was this morning at 11am. It's been five days since he passed away, and we've received an incredible outpouring of love, support, food, and flowers from friends and family.
Today was difficult, but soon the extended family will return home, the flowers will stop coming, and Jenny (my wife), her mother, and her siblings will start to learn to live with the new normal. We'll have to go back to work, to school, to church, and to our lives and learn to live without Ralph.
We'll miss him, but we have wonderful memories to sustain us.
